I will be co-directing Wit at Westfield Playhouse in May/June 2025 along with Becky Schlomann. I’ve wanted to direct this play for a couple of years, so I’m psyched. I’ve never worked with a co-director before, so I’m not sure how this is going to work. I do trust Becky, though, so I have no doubt that we will work everything out.
The reason I needed to get a co-director for Wit is because I was cast as Erik in The Humans by Stephen Karam. This will be my first time working with ALT, and I’m super excited. It’s a very challenging role, and I can’t wait to get started on it. It does butt up against the production schedule for Wit, so it was necessary to bring Becky on so that there is some consistency in the process.
In the meantime I’m still immersed in the Meisner Technique 2 year program at The Phoenix, with Jolene Mentink Moffatt. I’m really enjoying being challenged in some new ways, and I highly recommend this class to anyone who can make the commitment.
I’m in the process of revamping my own class, which I plan to re-start in the Fall of 2025. The structure will be a bit different, however this is being done to make sure that everyone who goes through the full course leaves with a deep understanding of the exercises and techniques, and how to apply them to their own work.
